This tutorial will show you how to make spinner logo with mezzotint text style.
First open Photoshop (Photoshop7.0 for this tutoring). Go to File > New set document dimension as 230 x 230 pixels set resolution at 72 pixels/inch and set RGB mode. After photoshop created new document choose deep red color foreground. Create new layer and set name as circle. Use elliptical marquee tool to create a circle and go to menu select choose feather set feather radius as 5 px. After that go to menu edit choose stroke set stroke inside set normal and set pixel of stroke as 3 px. After created feather circle, go to menu select choose deselection.

Second (create spinner shape) you can create spinner shape by using pen tool. Choose pen tool and create new layer name shape layer. Use pen tool to create spinner shape object (advice to use pen tool is in flash vdo of this section). After spinner shape object path is closed. Go to pallete path, choose fill path. After that click out work path from pallete path.

Third use edit free transform for rotating spinner shape to closed to the rim of feature stroked red circle. Duplicate more two spinner shapes and do the same with the first spinner (rotate until spinner shape closed to the rim). Do it again with the last spinner shapes. Now you have three spinner shape that look like triangular style.

| Fourth create black background circle in a new layer by select elliptical marquee tool and create new circle inside the feature stroked red circle. Before fill black color inside a new circle, you should set feature radius as 16 px to make the soft smooth rim black circle. Then click text tool and type spinner white word inside the black circle. At last of this step go to filter > pixelate > mezzotint to make that text more interesting. |
